Molar Amount Converters: mol, mmol, µmol, nmol, pmol, fmol

The mole is the SI unit for the amount of a substance, and lab results often use its smaller multiples: millimoles (mmol), micromoles (µmol), nanomoles (nmol), picomoles (pmol) and femtomoles (fmol). Each unit is a power of ten away from the next, so converting between them only means multiplying or dividing by 1,000 for every step. How These Conversions Work

To move to a smaller unit, multiply by 1,000 for each step down the list: mol, mmol, µmol, nmol, pmol, fmol. To move to a larger unit, divide by 1,000 for each step. For example, 2 mmol = 2,000 µmol, and 3,000 nmol = 3 µmol.
